Summer View Winter View
Pill Ridge is our winter camping shelter. It is an old logging cabin on private
property just south of Louisville. We spend the coldest months of the year in
this rustic structure. It looks like it is about to fall apart, but every year,
a crew is sent to make sure the structure is still there and standing.
"Improvements" are made as needed. Accomodations are very comfortable inside the cabin.
There is a big pot belly stove that will roast you out if needed.
There is a stove (with oven), plenty of bunks, out house not far away, and plenty
of forest to get lost in.
As Scoutmaster Pat puts it, "Why would you want to go anywhere else?".
